Today I did not actually have much planned. I stayed home for the majority of it doing homework and eating Nestle Drumsticks. I ate four to be exact. I am definitely what you would call a beast. I do not care about weight or how unhealthy it is because we all only live once so why not do something we actually enjoy. Fortunately for me I had a friend that dragged me out in the middle of the night to make me do work for her.

Her name is Tinnie, or so I call her. She's a bit older than me around five years to be exact. We met a while ago and we've been awesome friends ever since. She's a good role model for me despite the fact that shes super dry to me most of the time and acts like she doesn't care about me. But of course I know she does because she knows I'm awesome =P. In one way or another I treat her like a cousin or a sister of some sort. We met through family at first, than became closer in Scouts 388th division, and finally I volunteer for her for special events that she is affiliated with. I try to work extra hard to make her look good most of the time.

Since we were at Cafe Mirage we ordered food. I just had dinner so I wanted something small. Therefore I ordered the "Honey Munch" or whatever it was. Tinnie ordered a mango juice and that's what we had for the duration of the time we were there. As you can see from the photo's the lighting in the place was horrible. It was super dim and I was so close to handing the owner of the store an Ikea catalog to purchase a few lamps for the store.

Continuing on with the story, the mango drink was apparently awesome and my piece of cake was super duper sweet. It wasn't sickening sweet, it was more of like the sweet enough to sweep you off your feet type of sweet. It made me smile for some reason even though I did not think it tasted that special. As we further discussed the lighting I mentioned that it'd be nice to see who you were eating with. Tinnie insisted that it may have been that they did not wish to see their companion. I therefore stated that Cafe Mirage was perfect for blind dates since if they were ugly, you wouldn't have to see much of her. If they ask you when you'll stop drinking, you can simply answer "When you start looking prettier."

As our time flew by that might I made a couple sketches of potential banners and posters for Tinnie's Toronto Police Picnic at Burrow's Hall, which happens annually during the month of June. It had been the reason she had called me out since I was her artistic assistant. It was also why she was paying for my dessert. Later that night she drove me home and I arrive home around 11:30 ish. The one thing I had learned today that I should've remembered is that sometimes, you should rely more on your friends, because sometimes they'll pull through in times you wouldn't expect. Friends are an awesome way to slay boredom.
