If there's one thing I learned these past four years, it's this.
Love.
Something you can feel but can't touch.
You can't see it but you'll always be looking for it.
It is what gave birth to us.
But at times it makes us want to take our own lives.
Bringing us tears of pain and anguish in dark times.
Yet bringing us tears of joy and comfort as well.
One can give it, but not buy it.
Receive it, but not own it.
It can bring the strongest man down to his knees.
Yet give the weakest man the strength of a thousand men.
So why are we given such a complex emotion?
Because it is the force that maintains and pushes mankind's existence forward.
It is also what makes us human.
You make me human.

Project Ashes~

For the time being I have decided on the creative name Cookie*Monster as my symbol and alter ego of artistic justice. As for my company, I have come up with the name Project Ashes. Here are a few works I have recently done with one of my favorite inspirations.

Do you believe in fate?~
There's no such thing as a perfect man or a perfect woman. Only perfect love the imperfect man and imperfect woman create together.

I had recently finished a Korean drama called Soulmate. It is about three couples fated to break up for they are not each others destiny. However, two individuals out of the three couples have never met, yet see each other in their dreams and can hear each other's thoughts. The are fated "soul mates" and will eventually end up together regardless of their own personal choices. The series is extremely funny and fast pace. It totals to only 12 hours of viewing pleasure, which is a lot shorter than most Korean dramas. It is relatively tragic but the ending did not satisfy my need for tragic events. Overall, I would recommend anyone to watch it just for fun. Best of all, Jam is watching it with me as well.
As for movies, my favorite pick of the week must be Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was a true cinematic adventure. It was thrilling, hilarious, may have contained a little too much lovey dovey stuff for a Harry Potter movie, but it was all good overall. The effects were amazing and the storyline was even better. I would recommend this to anyone with eyes. I went to watch it with a university friend of mine Anne, and I missed her so much. I'm glad we were able to meet again.

As for general merriment, I had been going out to eat quite often lately. Jam, Trang, and I have gone to eat Korean food twice already. The first time was in a very quiet mellow place with a real Korean type atmosphere and friendly service. It was my favorite Korean food joint since it wasn't as crowded as other places. The second time we went with several other friends as well. We were given quite a surprise near the end of the dinner that shall not be mentioned. But it was ok overall. The food wasn't as good but we all had good fun. The lesson of the day is to never eat a wad of wasabi.

The meaning of Life~
With 36 definitions, the term life is one of the most discussed topics of all eternity. So what is the meaning of life? For those of religious views, do we need to fulfill a purpose or do we have a role to play on this green earth? For those of you who are purely scientific, do we really exist only to die with no real value to the long stream known as time? Is the ability to breathe and carry out bodily functions really the only way to truly define what it means to be living? As a seventeen year old, I am only full of questions without any real answers.
To me, a Chinese Canadian living a middle class life as a suburban high school kid, I believe to carry life is to carry hope. For each life has the hope of millions of making a difference. Change has never occurred through large populations but by individuals. To be able to live is to be able to have hope, carry it, and provide it. Although to many my thoughts may seem naive and somewhat immature, I still carry that hope inside me. I have met many people throughout my life and I've noticed one thing. For those that do not enjoy what they do and do not carry hope within them, they may be breathing and functioning but by no means are they living. Many people use the phrase "feeling lively" or "living again" because they had done something thrilling that excites them. That excitement creates greater possibilities for a brighter future and a better life style. How you can tell someone is living is if they do the one thing we all know is an attribute of someone who is living. As long as they love, they are living. Love is the strongest emotion one can feel because love overcomes all other emotions. Love can overcome, anger, fear, frustration, pain, sorrow. As long as we love, there is hope. If the whole world loved, than we would be that much closer to a brighter tomorrow. To love ourselves, each other, and the earth.
In the media and the society we live in today, what it really means to live is no longer taught. Hope, morals, and love are no longer priority. But rather wealth, fame, rationality, and knowledge. Even though our textbooks, television sets, and newspapers no longer contain any sign of hope, hope still remains in the chambers of my heart. Hope has been given to me by my friends and family. To make sure I'm living, I've always made sure that I've loved everything I've done, everyone I've met, and everything I'll do. If I had to do something I hated for the rest of my life I would be rather be dead for I would not truly be living. I'm not saying that we all must rise up with all our hope and change the world. But we should all love our choices and those around us and slowly, if we do so. We will make a change in the attitude and way we are. The stars will shine brighter, the laughs will sound louder, and the joy will feel that much heavier.
Keep in mind that I am but a seventeen year old boy with nothing but hope in my eyes. If I may have such a positive outlook on my future why can a nation not do the same. John Lennon is one of my most respected influences for his song Imagine. For out of everything I've ever heard, this song holds more hope for the future than anything else I've ever read. I feel as if John had known it really meant to live, and that he had lived his life to the fullest living every moment. He died on December 8th, 1980 when he was shot in the back four times by a stalker and was rushed to be hospital just to be declared dead on arrival. Even though he is gone, his hope is still very much alive, in the hearts of millions including my own.

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

Night it up~
On July 11th I attended Night It Up. Similar to Taste of Asia. Night It Up is a night market run by Power Unit at Metro Square. A stage is provided for performances and several dozen booths are placed in horizontal rows. The booths consisted of smelly tofu, teriyaki, squid, bubble tea, trinkets, and many other foods and games. I was invited by my friend Letty whom I met during a badminton tournament. When I arrived I met two of her other friends Louise and Johny. We walked around without doing much because I had not figured out what I had wanted to eat yet. However, Letty and Johny bought stir fry ice cream. Stir fry ice cream is basically a fried waffle type thing with ice cream mixed with chocolate sprinkles and such over a marble slant. It costs $5 per ice cream.

Later on, Letty and Louise both bought a coconut from this random stand for $3. In less than no time I found a stand sponsored by T&T that sold coconuts for $2. I don't actually like drinking coconuts but I bought one anyways just to rub it in. I told her "Oh wow this coconut is so delicious I can totally taste the deal. I love my $2 coconut. But it's ok I understand why you paid more. It's for convenience it was much closer to you and you didn't want to make such a strenuous journey." The T&T stand was actually only four booths down from the other booth they purchased it from. Mandarin Badminton, Creative Zing, and Ten Ren also had sponsored booths. They did not go to make money necessarily, they went for the advertisement.
Later on, I found this magically store hidden near the stage no one had gone to because it was positioned awkwardly. At the front it was cluttered with Gundams and Digimon, and the back walls were filled with PSP and DS accessories. However the real deal was on the side wall, which was hardly visible to the public. It was a bunch of phone charms that I actually collect. The charms are relatively expensive if you were to purchase them regularly. The Voodoo Dolls are regularly $8 at Ones, the three Color Bears are regularly $7 at Pacific Mall, and the e.Sai monkey and Mario mushroom are also $5 a piece. That would give you a grand total of $39 for six items. The price they were selling them for was 5 for $10 and the Voodoo Dolls were 2 for $3 so I split the cost with a friend. I got all six for a grand total of $11.50. I was overjoyed to find such a great buy. The rent for a booth at Night It Up is a little over $400 for the two nights which is pricey. Many good businesses make over $500 and those that are not so popular go into deficit of close to $400. Therefore, everything there is usually very over priced yet I found such a great deal.

Afterwards, I was very happy and finally began my food journey. I ate bacon wrapped cherry tomatoes, a Chinese style hot dog, seaweed salad, teriyaki beef, fried eggplant, fried squid balls, and fried squid. I wanted to line up for takoyaki since my friends lined up for smelly tofu, but the makers of the takoyaki were extremely slow and the line seemed endless. I had it before during a different festival and they were delicious. Later on we went to T&T nearby and we got sushi and mango pudding for a cheap price since the end of the day sale for sushi is usually amazing. On my way home I met this guy called Anson who was playing with his yoyo. He had been yoyoing for seven years and he was amazing. The speed of his string tricks were crazy. He made his one meter yoyo string seem endless. Turns out, we have much more in common than I knew. The lesson I learned for the day is that if you have high expectations for everything you'll only be disappointed, but you should always show interest and be curious. Curiosity makes everything more interesting.

I want you all to myself~
On this glorious day, I had the perfect day planned for me, my best friend, and Jam another close friend of mine. It started off with a nice comfy awakening as I gently rolled out of bed. I turned on my computer and screamed, not sung, to my new favourite song All To Myself by Mariannas Trench and got prepared to leave. I arrived at Pacific Mall my all time favourite mall since it had a ton of neat collectibles and foods not found anywhere else. I was early of course since it is always better for the gentlemen to wait for the lady, and Ashy. I called them up to check where they were and to my amazement, Jam was still in bed. However, Ashy was already there and we met at the front entrance of the mall. She looked gorgeous today. She was wearing a pink tee and a purple and pink checkered kilt like dress. Jam then magically called me to inform me that she was there in less than 10 minutes since I had last called her. She looked nice too. I know you probably think I'm being dry but it's because I had seen Jam for the majority of the week and Ashy only twice since the summer had begun.
We went about our merry way to Station Asia to have our lunch. Upon arrival we sat in big comfy couches and ordered. I ordered something I do not remember, and Ashy and Jam shared a ketchup cooked chicken. The menu actually had ketchup cooked pork but Ashy asked if they had chicken and the nice lady actually made it for her. After agreeing to make her ketchup chicken, Ashy also asked for extra pineapple, which to me was the cutest thing I had ever heard. We ate and talked about nothing important at all. That was what I loved the most about being around close friends. Discussions never need a topics, and topics never need a direction to head in. While preoccupied with talking I burned my tongue since the spoon had touched the bottom of my bowl, which was boiling hot. I of course gave out a somewhat manly scream before I proceeded to burn my hand too as it accidentally hit the side of the bowl. The food was fantastic and the lady even called Ashy pretty. I gave a generous tip of... I think 25% or at least very close to.
We walked around and in search of activities. Without noticing I almost ran into another individual who was not paying attention. With my quick ninja skills I managed to dodge with what Ashy describes as a failed dance move. Ashy had two things in mind for the day. She needed a dress for a wedding she was attending and a phone charm for her sister. We arrived at our first dress store spotting a strapless long flower patterned dress with an elastic upper section to hold the dress up and a ribbon at the back. The suggested price for the dress was $50. I found humor in the fact that the sign in the store said "All 50% Off" but the "All" was clearly scratched off with pencil. When Ashy asked how much I thought the dress would cost I said that it was probably $30 or so but it might be 50% off I'm not too sure since the sign is so indecisive. She went to try the dress on in a toned brown colour. Without a doubt, she was breathtaking. Of course I did not tell her that though, since she gets too many compliments anyways.
We left realizing Jam would in no case try on any of the dresses because she disliked dresses for some strange apparent reason. $50 was steep for such a dress because I think the original price of the dress probably ranged from $15 to $20. I suggested that I could bargain it down to $30 but Ashy did not want to impose. While walking around we came across another store with the exact same dress. Ashy gave me the green light because she actually wanted to watch me fail. I walked in and asked for the price. She said $45 instead of $50 so I knew it was possible. Every lie needs a back story so I spoke. "Excuse me, can you sell me the dress for $30?" She immediately retaliated with "Of course not, for that price I'll go out of business. No one will sell it to you for that cheap." So I responded with "But you're so lang luy (pretty) I'm sure this store will be fine. The thing is, I needa buy it for my girlfriend because its our one month and it'd be a really nice gift. I think she'd love that dress." With somewhat of a long pause she said. "Fine, I'll give it to you this time, I'm new here (I'm positive the store was old) and this is my first sale." So I told her "Yes but since it's for love, your first sale will be a lucky one." And so we got the dress for $30. Ashy lit up like the fourth of July. I was glad I could still make her smile. If she was going to ask me why I was being so stingy with my girlfriends gift, I had another back story to cover that one. That my girlfriend was in HK and that when she flew back I would bring her the dress, and then take her to a very fancy expensive restaurant. The first rule to bargaining is to always have a reason to come up short on cash. If they know you have the cash, they'll never lower the price.
After such an adventure, Ashy and Jam praised me for a good couple of minutes telling me how they thought I was all talk until it actually happened. They seemed so surprised that it had actually worked. I got an Arizona from a bubble tea shop and then we went upstairs to play video games at Playdium. We played Time Crisis and some button pressing game. For Time Crisis, Jam and Ashy played first and Jam's expression when she played was filled with shock and horror. Ashy however was better than both of us at the game. I had much more fun watching them play than I did playing the actual game. Afterwards, we went around in search of phone charms for Ashy's sister and Jam. After going to almost every store we sat down on our own bench and talked for a while. Talking on the bench was one of my favourite parts of the day. Jam played a lot of Rhythm Heaven while Ashy and I caught up on the last little while. At one point I was sitting between Ashy and Jam, and Ashy said "Arn't you lucky sitting between two pretty girls." Being the sarcastic twit I am I told her "What pretty girls? I don't see any." So she corrected herself and said "Ok fine, I'm not a girl, you're sitting beside one pretty girl than." Right then and there we unmasked that Ashy was secretly a cross dresser since she had a kilt on. Apparently it's a dress but I call it a kilt cause it's checkered.

We then proceeded to Ones and Smart Maple in search of phone charms. They were our last resort for the day. Ones is one of my favourite stores because they not only have cute charms and accessories, they have cool stuff for everyday usage such as pillows, kitchenware, stationary, and others as well. We did not get anything at ones today even though I did spot many cute items I would like to obtain. At Smart Maple however, I got a mini Converse shoe key chain, and Jam got another one of her signature headbands. It was blue with two ribbons. Ashy had spotted it first and I loved it because it looked so cute on Jam. I obviously told her it was pretty but she wasn't just in case she was feeling like I had complimented her too much for the day. We need to keep it real here on Planet Earth. None of that over confidence or cocky attitude. So I always remember to occasionally throw in a couple of dry remarks along side my compliments.

Running back around to check for phone charms one last time we ended up buying Jam a Mario Life Gaining Mushroom with a screen wiper type thing attached. We only wanted the mushroom part though so we needed to break the bottom off. In order to do so we needed some sort of tool. We entered another accessory store and the lady asked what colour phone we were trying to match so we told her black. She spent quite some time and effort trying to persuade us to purchase something. I think I gave her the driest reply I could think of without realizing. I ended up asking if we could borrow her pliers and left right after we had ripped off the bottom of the charm we had purchased earlier. We got junk food at a local candy store and chilled for a little while longer. While paying for a drink Ashy bought she needed ten cents and I was taking quite some time to find my two nickels she said "Geez hurry up." I replied with the only thing I could think of at the moment, and now that I reflect upon it, it seems more of a lie. I said "Gosh calm down, you can't rush a lang jai (pretty boy)."
It was then time for Ashy to leave to go to work and for Jam and me to go to play ultimate at school. We parted since she needed to take a different bus and I gave her the biggest hug I could've since I did not know when the next encounter would be. The bus ride to school was actually very nice. We reflected upon the fun day we had and laughed about stupid things that happened. I hope I'll be able to experience this again some other day. Ultimate was unexpected fun today as well. Lan was on the losing team but still acting very triumphant, so it ticked a ton of people off but it was funny when Jason, a senior member went on a raging fury as he screamed at individuals like mad. All in all, the reason I loved my day so much is that I got to spend my day with Ashy. The closeness between us may have been translated as something else by outsiders so if someone not as close was with us we'd have to watch our actions and comments but since it was Jam, we could be ourselves and Jam could see that we were actually really close without doubting my motives. Thanks to Jam and Ashy, I had the time of my life today and probably the best day since summer began. The lesson I learned today is that no matter what happens in your life or whatever goes on, the world will seem like that much of a better place when you find someone you love and someone you cherish.

Blue walls and clear skies~
Lately, I've been told to do many meaningless tasks for people I care about. Weather it be friends or family, they use me to the fullest without worrying about my well being. But that's ok because I am an incredibly nice individual whose not afraid to help a friend. That, and the fact that if I did not, then many of these females would kick my bum. The first person I had helped recently is Emmy. She had painted her room light blue and wanted me to put a design on the wall. The base paint took two hours to get the effect I wanted. In order for paint to look like it ripples, you must make short strokes in a somewhat circular pattern. As the paint drys, lighter and darker patches will appear giving it the whole ripple effect. Later on, I painted a collage of words on top of the base coat, which took another hour totaling three hours of work done for a friend in need.

I had also helped my sister out with her university books. She needed sections of books copied and binded. The total number of pages came close to one thousand four hundred. It weighed a mighty sum and I needed to constantly pick the book up to flip to the next page. I hurt my wrist the day before by helping Emmy with her wall, and now I had put my wrist through further stress from all the lifting action. If I had blown my wrist from all of this I would've been very depressed since I needed my wrists for badminton. This copying took a total of three hours as well and in a room with no air conditioning whatsoever.

The other day I had "helped" entertain Jam by watching movies with her. We watched Confessions of a Shopaholic one of my favorite movies out this year since it's funny and very down to earth. There was this one part where the main character was dumbfounded in the middle of the conference floor and so she repeated everything her boss had told her to say. At one point he said "Long pause, no answer." She then repeated it loud and clear. Jam and I both laughed very hard. The lesson I learned today is that sooner or later we all need help from someone, it's just unfortunate I'm usually the one helping.

Ping pong may be an attractive sport~
Lately, many of my friends have been coming over to my house. Lan, Sky, and Pwner have been over a couple of times, Jam has been over enough times, and a couple others as well. Usually when guy friends come over, we do things like play cards, play computer games or play video games. However, when girls come over, we tend to need to find other means of entertainment. Apparently many girls play ping pong. Of course not at the same pace as I, but at some sort of consistency. The most recent one to come over had been Sher. She came over after we went to the mall nearby to chill since my house was quiet and had air conditioning. We were at the mall for about an hour before we gave up walking around. At my house we played Stepmania a rhythm game and a bit of Bomberman.
When D.Ma came over during the summer, he always brought with him his laptop and we would play round fighting games for they were his passion. They were all non typical ones that normal teenagers would probably play, but nonetheless they took most of our time. I could never beat him in any of the fighting games since he would learn one or two combos in the game really well and then repeatedly hit me with the same combos. Whenever Lan, Sky, and Pwner came to my house we would do similarly the same type of things including Magic the Gathering, Texas Hold'em, and ping pong. We did all the extremely manly stuff.
Ashy came by once and it was the only time I had been able to see her all summer. I was overjoyed to see her and it'll probably be the highlight for me out of everyone else that had come to my house before. Because we did the one thing I always suggested doing but never got around to because the other person was always bored. For Ashy and I, we can literally sit there for an hour or more and just talk without any other distractions. For many other people, they would probably suggest doing something after a short while. Ashy also secretly loves Bomberman and ping pong as well, which I found quite cute.
For the times Jam came by, we would play Bomberman, ping pong, foosball, and watch movies. Yet again, Bomberman and ping pong seem to be common interests between pretty girls. Whenever I spent time with Jam either alone or with others, she stayed relatively quiet and waited for me to say or do something stupid. She loved to laugh at me but being the Kevin that I am, being laughed at is a regular occurrence. Time with Jam was fun to. It was relaxing because I didn't feel as if I had to entertain her since she sort of is easily amused. The lesson I learned from all these experiences is that people spend time differently with others even if spent in the exact same place.

Sharing my night sky with you~
Last Wednesday, Jam was convinced that she should've come to ultimate with the rest of us. However, her piano lessons ended at 6 while ultimate started at 6:30. The bus ride there however was an hour long. Therefore, being the amazingly great friend I am, i volunteered to stay behind and wait for her. It was Canada Day and I was extremely bummed out that I wasn't able to watch fireworks with anyone since all fireworks were canceled due to the worker's strike. As the clock struck 6 Jam met up with me and we bussed there. The majority of the day was just filled with drills and scrimmages. I did however meet a person called Micheal Wong. He was from UTS and we paired up for some weird cup hitting game. We proceeded to win the event and claim two five dollar Tim Cards. To this point I still think he won the event alone. I only got a couple of points here and there but not really anything too consistent. He thought I was silly because I would not take credit for the win.

Later on as it got dark, I wanted to bring Jam home early so she wouldn't get into any trouble. As we bussed be talked for another hour or so about things that really did not matter. Much like most of my other discussion topics, whatever I said was probably meaningless, but it was nice talking to her. When we go to Kennedy and Sheppard the intersection near her house, we both did not want to go home. So like most hyperactive teenagers that didn't want to go home, we did the only reasonable thing and bought gigantic slushies from the gas station. I really do not know why gas stations love selling slushies but it did not matter because I loved slushies. Mine was either red or orange while Jam had a combination drink. If I remembered correctly, it was delicious! I had craved slushies for the longest of time trying substitutes such as popsicles and freezes but none had satisfied my thirst for the almighty slushy.
We spent some time wandering the streets when we heard our first bang. Little did we know that it would lead to bigger things. We decided to follow the sound of the bang and had begun to see shiny colours. Yes, it was a Christmas miracle in July. Apparently, some very rich individuals had bought their own fireworks and were lighting them up from different locations. Jam and I sat there with our slushies in the back parking lot of the local Wal-Mart for a good thirty minutes watching the shiny colours. I was thrilled and she could see that in my eyes. Even though I have no strong feelings for Jam, it was still one of the most romantic things I had ever done. Just sitting under a colour lit sky with someone and my favourite drink. I think if anything I was having a romantic moment with my slushy. The fireworks made my day, week, and possibly month. Jam was happy as well. I then walked her home and gave her a hug. It was then that I realized hugging her was a difficult task. She tippy toed and I bent down, yet she could still barely look over my shoulder. The lesson I learned today is that hugging is made easier when sitting down.

Cloudy with a chance of awesome~
I realized that it's been some time since I last posted anything about my life, but it's been because I haven't been able to figure out what I want to write about. But I miss those of you that are stuck working for stupid restaurants that make you wear short skirts, and those of you who are stuck in class learning about parabola's and lines. I know we haven't been able to stay in touch so I guess the best way for me to tell you what's going on is to keep blogging. I in fact really do miss you guys terribly though. Keep up the good work, keep your spirits high, and I'll see you guys in no time.

It seems as if the weather man has been having a knack for being terribly wrong. Throughout the past couple of weeks I have been spending much time with Jam. I've grown quite fond of her as an individual. The weather indicated a 70% chance of rainfall yet when the time came, the skies were clear. Time after time the weather man deceived me into having a less eventful day. One of these times were J.Liu's birthday party. We had planned to go to the beach but was changed to a party at her house. K.Vu was there as well and that day we had spent a lot of time talking to each other. I got just a bit closer to K.Vu that day, but that's ok because he seems like a sincere enough person. J.Liu apparently liked the gifts we got her and she smiled.

After we left her house we all ventured to the mall to watch Year One. Half of us wanted to watch Year One while the other half wanted to watch Transformers 2. However Transformers 2 was sold out so we had Year One all to ourselves. Year One was an extremely hilarious movie with many laugh out loud parts and I enjoyed watching it with K.Vu and Jam. At one point in the movie, Jack Black was eating bear poo and yet Jam was still eating her chocolate. I found that quite amazing. Later on we went to Jack Astors and we had a very fun dinner. I was stuffed since I had ordered too much. Jam couldn't even finish hers and K.Vu tossed the rest of his away. I guess it's hard to eat much when you're all super skinny. The lesson of the day must've been that you should never order more than you can handle.

My reality~
To: Manlady
To this day and time, the thought of you has been in my mind
The one that helps me see the light, the one that helps me through the night
My friend my treasure, my gift so great I cannot measure
In this world of false hopes, you have always been able to keep us both
In a reality of our own, where we share laughs stories and ice cream cones
No matter what others say, you are my January February March April May
You are the sun and the moon, the rhythm and the tune
You are my reality, my life my courage my personality
I do not need money or wealth, for you are more real to me than life itself
Thank you for all that's said and done, for this battle we have won

Nat's Plane Letter~
Dear Natalie,
With a lack of Microsoft Word and spell check, I have chosen to write to you on my blog. Please copy and paste the following so you may print it out later. It seems that you tell me that you're leaving quite frequently. I still can't believe it's been a year since the last time you went to HK. This past year just felt so short compared to every other year. I guess it's because it's true when they say time goes by faster when you're laughing. Have you had fun this year? Lots of laughs I presume. I know for sure I've had an awesome year and that you are one of the many reasons for it. I've met a lot of people this year and made a ton of new friends. You were one of the very first non school friends I had ever made. I think it was around the beginning of grade 11 that I started to become less shy. You I guess are a pioneer to my social career, but I'm sorry that you are because I'm sure I was a very awkward kid. At least you think I'm awesome now right? If you even dare to say no I'm not talking to you anymore =.=".
But even if you magically believe that I'm awesome, strong, and well put together, you are completely wrong. I can prove it to you with this true story I'm about to tell you that happened just two days ago. Upon leaving to a friends place I was in the shoe room type thing of my house. The first door to my house opens to the shoe place and then the second door leads into my home. So I was in that little room when right after I put on my shoes I looked up and there on the door leading to the outside world, a gigantic wasp. It had legs, its behind seemed detached it was huge. It was probably about an inch long and its legs included made it 1/2 an inch tall. But in order to sound like more of a man I will tell everyone it was 3 inches long and an inch tall. I followed sighting it by doing the manliest thing I could've at the moment. I screamed like a little girl and ran back inside. Afterwords, I attempted to kill it by hitting it but could not gather the courage to open the door again since it took flight at such alarming speeds. My sister told me to spray it with hairspray but the hairsprays range was only about a foot. I was not willing to move a foot in front of it. That would still be considered brave range. I needed the spray to range about a meter, which was considered wimp range. After a while, my sister tried to scare it away by swearing at it but it could not leave because both doors were closed so we both left through the backdoor. So you see I'm not as tough as you thought.
I'm sure you're thinking to yourself that you never actually thought I was ever tough but that's ok because I think we all knew that at some point in time =). HK is a very hot place for very hot individuals so they didn't allow me to go, they rejected my plane ticket. But it seems that you go frequently so I guess you qualify! That's something good to celebrate. Remember to buy me lots of neat stuff you always seem to forget that. That's ok I'm sure it's because you're too busy having fun and not at all because you just forgot about Kevin. If that was the case I would have to be mad =). Anywho, I'm glad I met you and I'm glad you're always online for me to talk to. You're an awesome friend. And remember this, my cheesiness may be super corny, but my corn and cheese is comfort food! So if you ever need me just ask and I'll cook you up a mighty meal of cheese and corn! Notice that they're both processed foods you do not need to prepare... That tells you a lot about my cooking abilities. For however long you'll be gone you'll be missed here in Toronto! But we all forgive you for leaving because we know how much fun you'll have over there! Bring back memories and smiles =). See you soon.
