First day back~

It's been one day since March break has ended. On my first day back at school, I spent most of my free time with my friends just casually talking about things that didn't matter. My classes today seemed extra long, but with my mind wondering to a far off land, time flew by faster than expected. After going through so much in the past few weeks, I have finally realized what me real values were. I care much more about badminton than I do school, and I feel much more comfortable talking to my friends that don't attend classes with me. It may just be because they now seem to all share the same type of sympathetic glare or judgmental stare, but nevertheless I must say I am very happy that I do have my friends because they always seem to make things better.

Just this morning I was deathly afraid of going to school after so long, it didn't seem like anything could calm me down. That is until I started talking to "Ella" again. Ella told me about her TC (Teens Conference) experience over the March break. This one topic really helped me to calm down and break the ice. Her pastor Tim apparently told them that the average teenage male thinks about sex - I didn't choose to learn this, it came as a shock to me as well - every 15 seconds. After he had told his own fellowship that a teenage male went up to him and told him "I think I'm above average". With that said Tim made the quick assumption that this was the only time this male had been above average for anything. This hip and young pastor was apparently extremely cool with his stories about congee and cellphones. With that said, this was one of my favourite mornings I've had in a while because it truly made me smile. Thank you Ella.

My lunch was filled with catching up with friends and lots of laughing and randomness. What started out as a mission to show off my new phone turned out to be a dud. I ended up attending a badminton meeting and rushing to pay for my Prom deposit. I eventually did get to talk to Luna and other friends of mine but Luna ended up taking my phone and playing Bejeweled. Although I must say it was quite amusing watching her play since she lost and was so hyper about it. At one point in time she was running out of life and she didn't know what to do next. Cleverly, she decided to pause the game and stare at the screen long and hard hoping for a next move. What wasn't expected was the fact that the game outsmarted her. Once you pause the game, the gems disappear and you have no vision of the playing field whatsoever. After I had bursted out laughing we all eventually had to proceed to class. After a long lunch where I just complimented SLo's phone like crazy since we had the same model, going to class just wasn't the same. The lesson I learned today is that without friends, your day can always go from bad to worst. So thanks for all the Ella's and Luna's in the world. They really make life worthwhile.
