SLo and I did happen to pay to watch something though. We went to watch the Knowing, with the "not knowing", which was a friend of SLo's called Diana. She just seemed so lost that day. Diana was also the name of a very annoying character in the movie, which I kept wondering when she would die, and eventually she did but it happened really late. The Diana in the movie just wouldn't shut it. After she died both SLo and I jumped for joy and the real Diana was so flustered to realize her character was a pain in the butt.
*RANTING SPOILER ALERT* So the Knowing is an ok movie, it was a cool puzzle to solve I just would've hoped it wasn't so retarded that the answer to the riddles were FREAKIN ALIENS =.=". That is just like the most cliche ways to end a movie and tick off the audience other than making the last two hours the main characters dream... It had some really cool effects and funny moments though. Funny to me would've been when something scary was supposed to happen but instead was so lame I exploded laughing at the cheer stupidity. At one point the aliens barfed light at the main character to temporarily blind him and I couldn't stop laughing at how stupid that looked. The coolest thing of all was seeing how the aliens had wings and watching what they world would look like if it were to be destroyed by super solar flares. The winds of fire and flood of flames sure was totally awesome. *SPOILER ALERT ENDED*
After the movie we took our leave and headed towards the exit to hopefully board the subway to reach SLo's fellowship church thingy. She was super scared though because of a subway accident she had seen in a certain movie >.>. Anyways, it was that faithful day that I realized that everything looks like a Gundam to SLo. A Gundam is a fictional gigantic robot from a popular anime series. It just so happened that on that day, Brandon Flowers' suit from the music video Spaceman - The Killers, a lamp from the movie theater's lounge, and several other conveniently located objects looked like Gundams. I found much fun in learning about her train of thought because it was so completely random and somewhat amusing.
When we arrived at the fellowship, they got straight to practicing for their bubble tea night performance. They sounded pretty good and the songs were relatively well chosen. Most of the songs were not worship songs since they wanted to appeal to a wider audience I guess. Nonetheless, I am sure they'll do well since they sound so awesome. I also met one of SLo's friends that night as well. Let us call her Tinkerbell since shes so small and reminds me of a little fairy girl. I didn't get to talk to Tinkerbell since they were busy practicing all night, but I can't deny that I think she's super cool and very cute. I do hope I get to know her better in the future. Although the future is always hard to predict.
Today however, I did not have such luck to do anything special. It was pretty plain and dull. I had a nice conversation with Salina one of SLo's friends from her fellowship, and it went something like this.
Me: *said something really deep*
Salina: Omg that is so insightful
Me: Really... I'm not too sure what I just said.
Salina: That's ok we all have those "whoa moments". When we say things so insightful and complex, that a short while after, we have no recollection or understanding of what we had just said.
LOLS. That to me is something special. A whoa moment I'm guessing is somewhat like a forgotten epiphany. This short little section of our conversation totally made my day since today was one of my very off days. I did not feel happy or sad or anything at all for the matter. I just felt like I existed and that's all that it was. But I realized that we exist to have whoa moments... LOLS xD Oh gosh that is truly wonderful how friends can come up with such awesome concepts. The lesson I learned today is that, stay away from strangers because they might be light barfing aliens.
