The weather's been better~

And I can't deny your eyes
You know I try to read between the lines
I saw a warning sign
And then you threw me up against the wall
Who said that it's better to have loved and lost?
I wish that I had never loved at all
Boys Like Girls - Up Against the Wall Lyrics

On Monday and Tuesday, I had the opportunity to play at the TDSB Regionals Badminton Tournament. It was loads of fun. I lost somewhere near the end playing Mixed Doubles but that's ok. Good experience I guess. Still kinda sucks that I didn't make top four though. A lot of amazing things happened and I met a lot of really cool amazing people there. We all shared many laughs and many stories. K.Tsang was hit on several times. One of which a kid walked up to her asking "Would you like my number?" with an instant reply of "No thanks." This was Quickly followed by his friend asking the question "Would you like a sip of my ice cap?" also followed by a no. Clearly K.Tsang was the center of attention for the tournament.

One of the funniest things that I had ever heard of happened as well as this tournament that will not be forgotten anytime soon. So it's relatively normal when other people tell you that you resemble so and so. What really caught me off guard was when a guy by the name of Mike went around telling people he looked like Bosco. Yes it was a self promclaimed Bosco look alike. When we declined his statement he replied "At least look at the hair, the hair looks like Bosco." Yet again we rejected the statement and a certain individual stated that D.Dai looked more like Bosco than Mike. Yes in a room of 50 people Mike lost in a Bosco look alike contest. Although I must admit D.Dai is lang jai'er and Bosco'ier than Mike by far. When D.Dai went up to get his medal his school screamed "Woo Bosco!" and then proceeded to stare straight at Mike who replied with one of these --> =.=". Mike was from R.H.King and that school had the most arrogant people I had ever met. Ironically the only person from their school that actually made it into anything was Peter Nie, a modest quiet not very talkative individual. When he made top four for singles his school all cheered and screamed "We did it!" and Mike went and held his hand up high screaming "We did it!" Of course my initially reaction was "What do you mean 'we did it'. Him winning has nothing to do with you." But of course I was way too nice to say it out loud.

Another hilarious incident that took place was when a guy from Woburn I labeled Brown Machine (because he was a one man tank) played singles against Jarson. He had upset everyone by walking in a gigantic circle around the court whenever he had lost a point and constantly whipped his shoes. He stretched his games so long one set of their match was equivalent to most people finishing their games. We then joked around and said that we should play a drinking game. Every time he walks in a circle we'll take a drink. And by the end of the first set we should be drunk.

One of my friends from Campbell actually brought a gigantic panda bear there and the guys were playing with it until this white lady started spazzing out screaming "OMG NO PANDA! NO PANDA! PUT THE PANDA AWAY GRRR!" Oh wells it was still a cute panda. After those two days, I had actually started to fall in love with the owner of this panda. Emmy was a short, cute, blond hair, funny girl. We have much of the same interests such as music, shows, and food. The 20 hrs we spent together may not seem like a lot to most people, but when you have 4 hrs between games to do nothing, it sure seems like a while. Emmy got 3rd for singles and I'm really proud of her. She's an amazing person and smiles constantly. Seeing her smile just seems to brighten my day up. We've become good friends but it's a shame she likes someone else ironically at another two day tournament.
You made consider every move I make~
You made me question every step I take~
You made me look before I leap~
You made me dream without being asleep~
You made me fall in love again~
But all you made me was a friend~
On our way home two Campbell guys and Emmy rode with us on the bus because they did not have a school bus to ride. It was totally hilarious how the two Campbell guys Calvin and Ricky kept making fun of K.Tsang because she rejected both of them and T.Wong my team captain. They even annoyed Emmy enough for her to pull Calvin's hair till the point where he was screaming "AGINCOURT GOW MANG AHHH!!! AIYAHH!" It was the most interesting bus ride I had ever been on. The lesson I learned that day was that no matter how far you look, the person you're looking for might have been there all along.
